Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page. Well, this year I have decided to participate in The 2009 Courage Classic, the event celebrates the 18th year of this unique bicycle tour that pedals 172 miles over three days through Washington's most scenic mountain views. We will pedal over its most spectacular passes: Snoqualmie Pass, Blewett Pass, and Stevens Pass.
Proceeds from the Courage Classic benefit Mary Bridge Children's Hospital of Tacoma, Washington, through the Rotary Endowment for the Prevention and Intervention of Child Abuse and Neglect. Their combined efforts are helping us to stop the cycle of abuse in our communities.
As a single parent, I can’t even imagine why anybody would physically, mentally, or sexually abuse a child. The reality of it all is that such negative things do occur to children in our communities. I think children are special and I am excited to be able to support this wonderful cause.
The impact of sexual and physical abuse can be long lasting without early intervention and treatment. Now is the time to stop the cycle of abuse!
I kindly ask for your valuable support! My personal goal is to raise $ 1,200 before August 1st 2009. I am hoping that I can meet this goal with the great help of family, friends, and doing some creative networking.
Its important to note that 100% of all revenues generated by the Courage Classic Bicycle Tour will support the programs to stop the cycle of child abuse in our communities. Since 1992 Courage Classic participants have raised over 5 million dollars.
Each mile we ride and each dollar we raise will make the difference in the life of a child and his or her family. That's why we say, Pedal for the kids!
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too.
Sincerely,
Kevin
